Upcoming Live Talk - The Great Demonstration - 30th March - Newcastle on Tyne, UK

How Compulsory Vaccination was Overturned Historically
23rd March is an important day in medical history.
I refer not to the start of UK lockdowns in 2020, but to something much earlier.
On March 23rd 1885 - 140 years ago - 'The Great Demonstration' took place.
This was a huge event, where 80-100,000 people from around the UK protested against compulsory vaccination - for smallpox.
This remains important, as smallpox is the only disease which modern medicine claims to have eradicated with vaccination.
If this treatment was as good as we're told, why was there such fierce opposition? In this talk you'll discover the forgotten / suppressed side of the smallpox story.

(The photo above is from a later protest, to show the mood of the time.)
This knowledge will cast light on recent and current events, because many aspects of the story occur again and again.
Look to the past to understand the present, and be prepared for the future.
Book early and save a quid!

- Time: 3pm start - 4pm end

If you haven't been to Earthlings before, it's a lovely vegan cafe on the outskirts of town, and a place with lots of cultural goings on. Definitely a place to know.
I recommend arriving early to get some food and/or drink at the main cafe, the talk will start in a separate room at 3pm.
This is an in-real-life event - there are no plans to broadcast it. However, Newcastle is a lovely city with lots of history, a vibrant nightlife, and an international airport. Just sayin' ;-).
Spaces are limited so pre-booking is recommended. Purchase here:
This event has now passed.
UPDATE: talk this was originally scheduled for 23rd March, however, due to unforeseen circumstances has been postponed to the 30th.
